Black Forest (EN)
In Black Forest, you begin with a small domain that needs new buildings and livestock. You travel from village to village to recruit the best specialists, and their abilities let you collect resources, lay out new landscape tiles such as ponds and fields, and construct a variety of buildings.
How It Plays
The game uses worker placement for action selection. Choose your buildings wisely, place landscapes, get your glass production going and expand your domain. Buildings include:
- "Immediate" buildings with a one-time effect
- Processing buildings and buildings with an ongoing effect
- Buildings that award bonus points at the end of the game for various accomplishments
Key Features
- Two resource wheels on your tableau help you track resources and production
- A wide selection of buildings with different effects offers many paths to victory
- 1-4 players, ages 14+, 60-90 minutes
Designed by Uwe Rosenberg, Black Forest brings back the resource wheels from Glass Road (2013) and continues its story in the Black Forest. A key difference between the two is action selection: worker placement in Black Forest versus simultaneous action selection in Glass Road.
