Moscow 1989 is one of the four original titles in the Crime Scene series. Players work through a modern mystery story written by professional crime author Arttu Tuominen.
How It Plays
The game blends three elements:
- A contemporary mystery story to follow and solve
- Picking out clues by studying a "Hidden image" picture
- Classic-style puzzle solving, with puzzles that use anywhere from one to four cards and range from light to quite heavy
Players can take hints when they get stuck, but each hint costs a Reputation card, and so does a wrong answer. The more Reputation cards the group still holds at the end, the easier it is to follow the "Hunch" found on the remaining cards and pick the right option in the "Final Choice."
Good to Know
- Recommended for ages 18+ because the story contains a few graphic details. Parents playing with children aged 12+ can skip these passages, as long as they know the details are there.
