Dice Realms (EN)
In Dice Realms, each player builds up a realm represented by a set of customizable dice. The faces on these dice pop out, so they can be swapped for stronger ones as the game goes on.
Every game starts differently. Players draw five tiles from a bag of 35 to decide which extra die faces are available, on top of the five standard lines of faces: victory, farming, commerce, defense and upgrades. Each player begins with two identical dice and can add more during play.
How it plays
Play is mostly simultaneous. Players roll their dice, with one player also rolling the Fate die, then may re-roll one die for free and spend tokens for more control over the results. Attacks are resolved next, with shields letting players ignore hits, and then everyone collects the victory points, grain and coins their dice show. Coins pay for re-roll and set-a-die tokens, repairs, new dice and upgrades. The game ends after the round in which a player needs a 10-value token because the smaller ones have run out, and the player with the most victory points wins.
