Disney Villainous: Despicable Plots lets each player take control of one of three Disney villains: Lady Tremaine (Cinderella), the Horned King (The Black Cauldron) or Gaston (Beauty and the Beast). Every player has their own villain deck, fate deck, player board and 3D character.

On a turn, you move your character to a different location on your player board, take one or more of the actions shown there, often by playing cards from your hand, then refill your hand to four cards. Cards are allies, items, effects and conditions, and you use them to fulfil your villain's unique win condition.

One of the actions lets you pick another player, draw two cards from their fate deck and play one of them on their board, covering two of the four action spaces on one of their locations. Fate decks hold heroes, items and effects from that villain's movie, so they are how other players get in the way.

It can be played on its own, and its characters can also face off against villains from the other Disney Villainous games.
