Fathom is a tile-laying, pattern-building game of deep-sea exploration. You lead a marine biology team competing to uncover the secrets of an uncharted underwater ecosystem around a fictional island.

How It Plays

• Over six rounds of simultaneous play, guide your team's boat and submersible across the ocean
• Scan the unmapped depths and place tiles representing signs of marine life, then descend and reveal them to discover creatures
• Choose carefully which creatures to investigate, since those you skip may be found by your opponents
• At the end, score points from the criteria of the species you found: some thrive in a uniform environment, others do better surrounded by variety, and some need to stay close to a group
